MYSIA. Pergamon. Circa 166-67 BC. Cistophorus (Silver, 26 mm, 12.16 g, 12 h), circa 76-67. Cista mystica from which snake coils; around, ivy wreath with fruits. Rev. Two snakes coiled around a bow case; between the snake heads, Ey above monogram of ΠΡΥ; to left, monogram of ΠΕΡΓ; to right, thyrsos entwined by a serpent. Kleiner, Hoard 33. Plankenhorn, Mysien, p. 132, 44 (this coin). SNG Paris 1736-7. Darkly toned. Minor traces of cleaning and with a small scratch on the obverse, otherwise, good very fine.
